Confirmation

In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit", and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ. Confirmation deepens our baptismal life, which calls us to be missionary witnesses of Jesus Christ in our families, neighborhoods, society, and the world. We receive the message of faith in a deeper and more intensive manner with great emphasis given to the person of Jesus Christ, who asked the Father to give the Holy Spirit to the Church for building up thecommunity in loving service. Like Baptism, Confirmation is received only once.

Youth

Confirmation is celebrated within the parish once a year, generally in the spring, and offered to students in the 8th grade. Children must attend the program designed to prepare them for this sacrament. The preparation and the celebration also require a strong family involvement.

Catechists are Confirmation teachers who assist in the preparation of 8th graders to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Classes are in the spring, usually in April.

Highschool-age teens interested in being confirmed, or adults interested in being catechists, please contact Courtney Rockamann, Youth Minister, at 314.878.2120, ext. 18 or youth@stanselmstl.org.

Online registration is now open for the 2023-2024 school year! Registration fee is $275.

Adults
