Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
These men and women assist the priests in the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass and take communion to the sick in hospitals, in their homes or in nursing homes.
Special ministers of the Eucharist are trained and commissioned to distribute the Body and Blood of Christ during the Communion Rite of the Mass. They can also take communion to sick in hospitals, at home or in nursing homes.
- Ministers must be at least 18 years of age. Training will be provided.
