Extraordinary Ministers

Extraordinary Ministers

These men and women assist the priests in the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass and take communion to the sick in hospitals, in their homes or in nursing homes.

Responsibilities: To fulfill monthly and/or daily assignments for distributing Holy Communion under the direction of the priest and/or deacon at all Masses and special liturgies.

Time Commitment: Varies, but typically limited to Sunday Mass and special liturgies.

Helpful Attributes: A devotion to the Eucharist and a close connection to Christ; an understanding of the Mass and the duties of the Extraordinary Minister at Mass.

Ministers must be at least 18 years of age. Training will be provided.
