ACTS OF KINDNESS - Creating opportunities to learn, connect and help those in need
The Acts of Kindness Ministry seeks to bring awareness and action to some of the many social issues impacting our parish and our surrounding community. Our goal is to educate parishioners so you feel informed about these issues and the different ways you can reach out and help others in our society. The ministry will keep everyone informed about speakers coming to our parish or other locations. We will also offer opportunities to support or become involved with various organizations who are working to better our community.
If this ministry speaks to you, we welcome you to join us in our efforts. For more information, please contact any of the following members of the Acts of Kindness Ministry: Maureen Arden, Julia Masetti, Ruthie Rochman, Linda Borchardt, Deacon Jim Sigilito, and Fr. Finbarr.
Each year, during and right before Advent, we have Christmas trees located in the Abbey Church and Parish Center Worship Space decorated with suggested gift items for various charitable organizations. We ask that the items donated be NEW and UNWRAPPED (you could include gift-wrap and boxes if you wish). Families from St. Anselm Parish take all the collected gifts to the chosen charities.
To help with this project, call Pattie Schafer or Julia Masetti (listed in the Parish Guidebook) or call the Parish Office at 314-878-2120.
